Researchers from Spain (Galicia, The Canary Islands and Valencia), with more than a decade of experience in the study of digitisation processes at different levels of education, participated in the research. The purpose of the project is to analyse the current state of production, distribution and pedagogical use of both educational digital content and online teaching materials aimed at Secondary Education (12-16 years). One of the key studies in the project focuses on analysing the pedagogical characteristics of a sample of commercial and institutional digital educational platforms (including materials) intended for Compulsory Secondary Education. This book presents the main findings of this study.
Moreover, in order to substantiate and highlight its results, some contributions from the national and international scene have been incorporated, since they have helped to interpret and complement our study. In addition, some chapters refer to previous studies carried out in Pre-school and Primary Education with the aim of promoting the understanding of results in the Secondary Education area
