La inclusión y uso de las redes sociales en la vida de las mujeres constituyen un cambio muy importante su desarrollo personal, social y profesional, de ahí que sean objeto de investigación creciente en los últimos años. Las redes sociales virtuales han cambiado las formas de relación e interacción de las mujeres. Las redes sociales se presentan como un espacio valorado por este colectivo debido a su naturaleza y las múltiples posibilidades que ofrece. En el presente trabajo se muestran los resultados de una investigación cuyo objetivo es conocer las formas de uso y motivaciones de las redes sociales virtuales de grupos de mujeres intergeneracionales. Para ello, se realiza un estudio de encuesta, cuyo cuestionario se aplica a 1.340 mujeres de entre 18 a 65 años pertenecientes a diferentes regiones de Andalucía. De forma complementaria, se ha realizado un estudio cualitativo en profundidad de 12 de ellas mediante entrevistas autobiográficas sobre su experiencia en las redes. Los resultados indican una diversidad de formas de uso y motivaciones de las redes sociales virtuales en función de la generación a la que pertenezca y al contexto de uso.
The inclusion and use of social networks in the lives of women constitute a very important change in their personal, social and professional development, which has been the subject of increasing research in recent years. Virtual social networks have changed the forms of relationship and interaction of women. Social networks are presented as a space valued by this group because of its nature and the multiple possibilities it offers. In the present work, the results of a research whose objective is to know the forms of use and motivations of the virtual social networks of groups of intergenerational women are shown. To do this, a survey is conducted, whose questionnaire applies to 1.340 women between the ages of 18 and 65 belonging to different regions of Andalusia. In addition, an in-depth qualitative study of 12 of them has been carried out through autobiographical interviews about their experience in networks. The results indicate a diversity of forms of use and motivations of virtual social networks according to the generation to which it belongs and the context of use.
