Introduction: Companies are increasingly focused on managing their impact on the environment and society through responsible strategies. Sustainability has become key, although consumers do not always value this trend as much as they claim. Fast fashion, a particularly polluting sector, often uses greenwashing to improve its image without real commitment. This study analyzes how Zara, Mango, and Springfield communicate their sustainability on Instagram, and the public's interaction with these posts. Methodology: A content analysis of the three brands' posts during May 2024 was conducted to measure the presence of their CSR activities in the disseminated content and the impact of these on their followers. Results: The Instagram posts of the studied brands regarding their sustainability efforts are practically nonexistent. There is a mismatch between the declarations and actions on websites and physical stores with their behavior on this social network. In this case, their use is limited to achieving positioning and image objectives or simply promoting and selling products.
