  • This chapter explains how languages can be useful in your students' future professional life by describing four jobs linked to translation and interpreting: translator, conference interpreter, public service interpreter and intercultural mediator. After completing the chapter's activities, students will be able to: · Explain what professional translators, conference interpreters, public service interpreters and intercultural mediators do. · Describe the value that languages might have in their professional life.
