We present a research aimed to analyze and understand the role of learning materials in higher education. Specifically, we have analyzed the value of the Index for Inclusion in the integration of knowledge in a pathway called Inclusive Education, in the Master of Psychology and pedagogy in the University of Alcalá (Spain). Through a process of collaborative inquiry, the data contribute to the debate about the value of the materials for reflective integration of theory and practice in higher education, and its potential for interdisciplinary processes. The results indicate that the Index for Inclusion is a highly practical and versatile resource to enhance interdisciplinary relationships because it allows problem solving based learning.

Presentamos una investigación cuyo objetivo es analizar y entender el papel de materiales en la enseñanza superior. Específicamente, hemos analizado el valor del Index for Inclusion en la integración de conocimiento en el itinerario de Educación Inclusiva, en el Máster en Psicopedagogía de la Universidad de Alcalá (España). A través de una investigación colaborativa, los datos contribuyen al debate sobre el valor de los materiales para la integración reflexiva de teoría y práctica en la enseñanza superior, y su potencial para procesos interdisciplinares. Los resultados indican que el Index es un recurso sumamente práctico y versátil para potenciar las relaciones interdisciplinarias porque permite el aprendizaje basado en problemas.
