Virtual training environments based on the use of virtual reality andgaming technologies are valuable resources for education in many fields. This isparticularly important in medicine, as an alternative to the training and experimentation with human beings. Nevertheless, the development of such environmentscan be very complex. In this paper we analyze an approach based on Bézier splines,Rigidbody, and Configurable Joint Unity components to create models of a flexible endoscope. These models are intended to support the construction of a virtualsimulator for lower intestinal endoscopy
