  • Resumen
    • Integrated teaching in Secondary Education aims to address the new challenges of the 21st century through a competency-based curriculum that promotes a new way of working in the classroom, especially in Science, where learning has traditionally been highly directed and guided. The objective of this study is to present a teaching-learning sequence (TLS) to address the topics of mechanisms, reason and proportion, problem-solving, and the digitization of the learning environment. It is targeted at first and second year of Secondary Education (students aged 12 to 14). Its implementation involves an integrated methodology that combines scientific and non-scientific subjects, along with other active methodologies that support this process.

It is expected that the implementation will create a conducive climate in the classroom, enhancing students’ motivation to learn the content through discovery-based activities that propose challenges and questions to investigate, as well as fostering reflection and the exchange of opinions. Implementing TLS of this kind could improve the teaching-learning process for students due to their interdisciplinary and integrated approach. The introduction of effective teaching strategies not only enhances students’ motivation and competencies but also other skills such as critical thinking and decision-making.
