    Within the scope of the elaboration process of the new Educational Charter of the municipality of Vila do Bispo/Portugal – a project promoted by the local municipality and implemented by the University of Évora – it was considered to carry out a cartography of the dimension of non-formal education present in the universe of institutions of the civil society, in all the parishes of that municipality. In this context, over the years 2022 and 2023, a research process has been carried out, through which the main civil society institutions existing in each parish have been identified and, in each case, the set of activities and projects with educational dimension that they have achieved. Using questionnaires, the information gathered reveals the existence of a significant number of structured, but not certified, apprenticeships available in more than four dozen identified institutions. Much of this learning is related to everyday life and the territory, in particular with regard to local culture and heritage and aspects related to existing community activities. Another significant dimension in the mapping produced stems from the territory's tourist activity, which is characterized by a strong component of interaction with nature, the sea, history and culture. The purpose of this research process is to draw a complete map of the non-formal education network in the municipality of Vila do Bispo, knowing and characterizing the universe of civil society institutions with an educational dimension present in their regular activity and making this information available in the table more general version of the Educational Charter of that municipality in the Algarve.

    No âmbito do processo de elaboração da nova Carta Educativa do concelho de Vila do Bispo/Portugal – projeto promovido pelo município local e concretizado pela Universidade de Évora – considerou-se realizar a cartografia da dimensão da educação-não formal presente no universo de instituições da sociedade civil, em todas as freguesias daquele município. Neste contexto, ao longo dos anos 2022 e 2023, tem vindo a ser concretizado um processo de pesquisa, através do qual se têm identificado as principais instituições da sociedade civil existentes em cada freguesia e, em cada caso, o conjunto de atividades e projetos com dimensão educativa que aquelas têm concretizado. Com recurso à aplicação de questionários, a informação recolhida revela a existência de um número significativo de aprendizagens estruturadas, mas não certificadas, disponíveis nas mais de quatro dezenas de instituições identificadas. Muitas destas aprendizagens encontram-se relacionadas com o quotidiano e o território, em particular no que se refere à cultura e património locais e com aspetos relacionados com as atividades comunitárias existentes. Outra dimensão com significado no mapeamento produzido decorre da atividade turística do território, que se caracteriza por uma forte componente de interação com a natureza, o mar, a história e a cultura. A finalidade deste processo de pesquisa consiste em traçar o mapa completo da rede de educação não-formal do concelho de Vila do Bispo, conhecendo e caracterizando o universo de instituições da sociedade civil com dimensão educativa presente na sua atividade regular e disponibilizar essa informação no quadro mais geral da Carta Educativa daquele município algarvio.
