    La societat occidental presumeix del gran avanç que s¿ha fet en la igualtat entre l¿home i la dona. És certa aquesta hipòtesi? I a la Universitat que es distingeix per ser capdavantera progressista en aquests temes, s'ha arribat ja a l¿equilibri? falta molt, poc, es retrocedeix? Després d¿un panorama general sobre la relació entre els gèneres en l¿àmbit social, s¿hem aturat a l¿àmbit universitari; i també hem fet una aproximació a l¿estat de la qüestió bibliogràfica. A continuació d¿aquest marc teòric, hem desenvolupat una recerca bibliomètrica sobre el gènere a les tres revistes dels departaments de Geografia: Millars de la Universitat Jaume I de Castelló, Cuadernos de Geografía de la Universitat de València i Estudios Geográficos de la Universitat d¿Alacant. I per últim, hem especificat unes conclusions no sempre esperades però sí preocupants.

    The western word thinks it got a great advance with the equality between men and women. Is this hypothesis true? Usually the University is in the lead about these thems.

    Then, did it archieve the balance or not? Is it going to be long, short or back? In the university environment we¿ve done an approachment to the bibliographic matter state. After this frame we¿ve explained a bibliometrical search about the gender into the tree magazines from the Department of Geography: Millars on University Jaume I from Castelló, Cuadernos de Geografía on University from València and Estudios Geográficos on University from Alacant. Finally we¿ve specified our conclusions, very worrying.
