Resumen

• Acta linguistica 7 and 8, collections of scientific papers of the Department of Language Communication in Business of the Economics Faculty of Matej Bel University in Banská Bystrica, deal with the problems of teaching foreign languages for specific pursoses and intercultural communication. The papers present research results in new methods in LSP teaching and learning, structure and content of new courses, testing language skills, etc., and deal with new trends in university education (joint degree programmes), intercultural aspects of lexicology, terminology and phraseology, as well as intercultural differences in communication. These topics were presented at the international conference "Language for Specific Purposes and Intercultural Communication" held in Banská Bystrica on 6-8 June 2007.
