The volume comprises an introduction and 15 chapters, which are divided into three parts. Part I, contains four chapters that cover the non-native acquisition of five different areas of language, namely phonetics, vocabulary, morphology, syntax, and discourse. The six chapters which constitute Part II are dedicated to migrant, heritage and minority languages. Finally, the five chapters in Part III explore different language acquisition research methods and different language teaching approaches or techniques, as well as their relationship.
