Aspects of Culture. The culture of a community can be discovered in many forms, some obvious such as great works of literature, art or music, and in others perhaps not so obvious at first sight. Among these we could include linguistic variations between social levels, contexts or geographical areas, the form of government, or appreciation of the community's past. Attitudes towards other peoples are also influenced by cultural factors, as a sense of collective identity gradually emerges. Close examination of any of these cultural manifestations will help to understand the idiosyncrasies of the originators of a particular culture. This volume contains twenty-five articles written around the theme of Aspects of Culture, representing a multidisciplinary approach to the study of English-speaking countries and their cultures.
