    El auge de la globalización gracias al desarrollo de las tecnologías de la información y la comunicación y la expansión del internet trajo consigo el advenimiento de nuevas formas de comunicación e interacciones denominadas la cultura digital. Estas formas alternativas de relacionarse y de interactuar entre los grupos sociales representan innovaciones y transformaciones constantes en las distintas esferas de las sociedades, entre ellas la educación. El objetivo de este trabajo es describir los efectos de la globalización y la cultura digital en entornos educativos. La investigación corresponde a una revisión teórica documental y/o bibliográfica. Los resultados arrojaron que la educación necesita adecuarse a la actualidad, a través de la formación docente para el uso apropiado de las herramientas tecnológicas. De igual modo, se enfrenta al desafío de una educación cada vez más diversa y multicultural. La cultura digital presiona constantemente a redefinir y reinventar el proceso educativo integralmente.

    The rise of globalization thanks to the development of new information and communication technologies and the expansion of the internet brought with it the advent of new forms of communication and interactions called digital culture. These new ways of relating and interacting between social groups represent constant innovations and transformations in the different spheres of societies, including education. The objective of this work is to describe the effects of globalization and digital culture in educational environments. The research corresponds to a theoretical documentary and / or bibliographic review. The results showed that education needs to adapt to the present, through teacher training for the proper use of technological tools. Similarly, it faces the challenge of an increasingly diverse and multicultural education. Digital culture constantly pressures to redefine and reinvent the educational process as a whole.
