This paper consists of a brief contribution to the revitalization of the New Political History. Concretely, this paper shows up another way of rethinking the feudal period by analysing not primary sources, but secondary sources connected with the moment in which they have been conceived. More specifically, it is a matter of enriching the understanding of analytical operative concepts, related to feudalism, connected withthis New Political History with respect to a period when the State, conceived as a group of institutions of power, is poorly developed. However, although the State was not developed, its effects on the population were perceived clearly, mainly in the control of the bodies. This work is focused on the analysis of the mentalities. Given the psychological identification of students with audiovisual sources, in order to apprehend operative concepts, it’s pertinent to use other sources such as audiovisual works whichshows up the image of the feudalism is used nowadays and if it’s possible to find rests ofit in the micropolitical analysis.
