In today’s global landscape, intercultural competence is increasingly vital. This chapter explores the implementation of a Blended Intensive Program (BIP), which brings together students from three universities, from three different countries. This project highlights how collaborative educational activities can bridge cultural divides and deepen mutual understanding among students from diverse backgrounds. The main objective of the BIP is to enhance students’ intercultural awareness and competence.
The methodology of the project is purely qualitative, focusing on collaborative interactions among students, and is based on the evaluation of specific criteria. These evaluation criteria include cultural sensitivity and adaptation, collaborative skills in a multicultural setting, critical reflection on cultural interactions and the application of intercultural learning. The results of the project are gathered through qualitative feedback from the participants, reflecting a significant enhancement in their understanding and appreciation of intercultural differences. In conclusion, the BIP effectively demonstrates the importance of international collaborative projects in developing intercultural competence among university students.
