This study analysed the Mi Llave program, a digital literacy initiative implemented in Medellín in 2010, aimed at vulnerable and reintegrating populations. The main objective was to identify and analyse the digital and communicational competencies acquired by participants from their own perspective. Through a descriptive qualitative methodology, techniques such as focus groups, surveys, and mind maps were applied, allowing participants to have a voice. The results showed that the program effectively fostered a literacy process that transcended technical teaching, enabling the development of digital and communicational competencies. Participants acquired skills in Internet searches, email use, social networks, and content creation, providing them with job advantages. Additionally, they reported positive changes in their communication style, personal aspirations, and dialogue capacity. The greatest achievement was generating scenarios for the reconstruction of the social fabric and reconciliation, based on a common need for technological literacy, that placed them in a horizontal dialogue. It is concluded that initiatives like Mi Llave are key in mediating communication, empowering vulnerable groups, and resolving grassroots conflicts.
