In the research carried out, I propose a vision of graphics applied to the plastic arts, specifically from the point of view of the actions carried out in the urban environment of cities. The three-dimensional space of these places, the walls and adjoining surfaces such as the ground, become the support where the artists express the graphics that characterise them. Colour, graphics and geometric shapes are the means they use to express themselves on a surface much larger than the usual canvas of the paintings. The support of the painting, the wall, becomes the centre of action of the artistic practices that take place in the public space and where they connect with the general public, who are not specialised in art. With the aim of analysing the current state of art that takes place in outdoor spaces, I analyse two case examples: Jessica Stockholder's Color Jam intervention in the city of Chicago and Heather Day's Provenance Winery in Napa Valley.
