La formación humana y ética entre los anestesiólogos en España: interés y accesibilidad

    Introducción: la formación humana y ético-profesional forma parte de las habilidades necesarias para el ejercicio de la medicina. El objetivo de esta encuesta fue explorar el interés de los anestesiólogos en España por esta formación y su accesibilidad a la misma. Métodos: se envió un cuestionario a anestesiólogos con ejercicio en España, a través de la SEDAR, con preguntas de escala tipo Likert, centradas en el interés y percepción de la necesidad por la ética, en la accesibilidad a dicha formación y la satisfacción con la misma. Resultados: participaron un total de 245 anestesiólogos en España, de 4.115 que recibieron el cuestionario. Los resultados mostraron un interés elevado por la ética y humanización (92,2%), considerándolo necesario para el ejercicio profesional (95,5%); sin embargo, menos de la mitad (43,7%) revelaron estar satisfechos con la formación recibida en este ámbito, aunque la mayoría (81,2%) mostró gran interés por la misma. Los médicos encuestados manifestaron poca oferta de formación (el 67,3% la consideró escasa y un 24,9% inexistente). Los que habían recibido formación continuada en esta materia, mostraron mayor satisfacción con el ejercicio profesional tras la misma (77,8%) y les resultó de utilidad (79,0%). Conclusiones: los anestesiólogos en España manifestaron como necesaria la perspectiva ética y humana, así como la formación estructurada y continuada en esta materia, para el ejercicio profesional. Mostraron su disposición a recibir más formación, pero destacando una falta de recursos en este sentido.

    Introduction: Human and ethical-professional training is part of the necessary skills in the medicine practice.The objective of this survey was to explore the interest about this training in Spanish anesthesiologists and their accessibility toit. Methods: An online survey was sent to anesthesiologists working in Spain, through SEDAR, with Likert-type scale questions, focused on the interest and perceived needs about ethics, accessibility to this training and satisfaction with it. Results: A total of 245 anesthesiologists in Spain participated, out of 4115 who received the questionnaire. The results showed a high interest in ethics and humanization (92.2%), considering it necessary for professional practice (95.5%). However, less than half (43.7%) revealed that they were satisfied with the training received in this area, although the majority (81.2%) showed great interest in it. The anesthesiologists surveyed stated that there wasn't much training offer (67.3% consider it scarce and 24.9% non-existent). Those who had received continuous training in this matter showed greater satisfaction with professional practice after it (77.8%) and found it useful (79.0%). Conclusions: Anesthesiologists in Spain expressed the ethical and human perspective, and the structured and continuous training in this matter, as necessary for professional practice. They were available for further training, but high lighted a lack of resources in this regard.
