La mujer y los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible: análisis y propuestas para la docencia e investigación en la Educación Superior

    El objetivo de este estudio es presentar un análisis crítico de los informes emitidos en el periodo 2019-2022 por la Organización de Naciones Unidas (ONU); en concreto, por ONU Mujeres, referidos al seguimiento de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS). Tiene como finalidad identificar las posibles barreras que han condicionado la vida de mujeres y niñas a lo largo del periodo estudiado, a fin de presentar una serie de reflexiones que orienten el diseño de actividades, estrategias y acciones en la Educación Superior. A lo largo de este artículo se realiza un análisis de contenido descriptivo, crítico, transversal y no experimental centrado en los ODS 6 «Agua y saneamiento», ODS 7 «Energía asequible y no contaminante», ODS 9 «Industria innovación e infraestructura» y ODS 11 «Ciudades y comunidades sostenibles». El segundo objetivo planteado es la identificación de los campos de conocimiento desde los que se puede actuar para contribuir al desarrollo equitativo del mundo. En este contexto, la universidad adquiere un papel relevante en la formación de la ciudadanía y profesionales del futuro desde una visión transdisciplinar. Los resultados evidencian que los retos a los que se enfrentan las mujeres y las niñas son especialmente de carácter social y educativo, pero también científico y económico. Por ello, es necesario proponer acciones y estrategias, desde la pedagogía, aplicables en cualquier campo de conocimiento, que permitan a docentes y discentes tomar conciencia de su participación en acciones orientadas al logro de los ODS desde su ámbito de conocimiento. Por extensión, las instituciones en general deben orientar sus actuaciones hacia los retos que plantea la sociedad actual.

    The objective of this study is to present a critical analysis of the reports issued in the 2019-2022 period by the United Nations (UN), more precisely by UN Women, referring to the monitoring of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). It aims to identify the possible barriers that have conditioned the lives of women and girls throughout the period object of study to present a series of reflections that guide the design of activities, strategies and actions in Higher Education. Throughout this article, descriptive, critical, transversal and non-experimental content analysis is carried out focusing on SDG 6 «Water and sanitation», SDG 7 «Affordable and clean energy», SDG 9 «Industry innovation and infrastructure», and SDG 11 «Sustainable cities and communities». The second objective is to identify the fields of knowledge from which action can be taken to contribute to the equitable development of the world. In this context, Higher Education acquires a relevant role in the training of citizens and future professionals from a transdisciplinary vision. The results show that the challenges faced by women and girls are primarily social and educational, but also scientific and economic. Therefore, it is necessary to propose actions and strategies, from a pedagogical perspective, that are applicable in any field of knowledge and that allow teachers and students to become aware of their participation in actions aimed at achieving the SDGs from their field of knowledge. By extension, institutions in general should also focus their actions on the challenges posed by today’s society.
