    El Teorema Fundamental del Cálculo (TFC) es una importante herramienta de cálculo en cursos de formación del ingeniero, dicha relevancia también se da por la relación que establece entre el cálculo diferencial e integral la cual motivó la presente investigación, que tiene por objetivo realizar un Estado del arte de las investigaciones empleadas en nuestra tesis de Maestría cuyo foco es el estudio TFC. Este trabajo tiene como finalidad conocer las dificultades que se presentan al abordar la enseñanza y aprendizaje del TFC. El estudio realizado evidenció que las nociones de función, continuidad y variación son dificultades que se presentan en el aprendizaje del TFC, por tal motivo son conocimientos previos importantes que debe tener en cuenta el docente al llevar a cabo este tema.

    The Fundamental Theorem of Calculus (FTC) is an important calculus tool in engineering education courses, such relevance is also given by the relationship it establishes between differential and integral calculus which motivated the present research, which aims to make a State of the art of the research used in our Master's thesis whose focus is the FTC study. The purpose of this work is to learn about the difficulties encountered when approaching the teaching and learning of FTC. The study evidenced that the notions of function, continuity and variation are difficulties that arise in the learning of FTC, for this reason they are important prior knowledge that the teacher must take into account when carrying out this subject.
