Salud mental docente tras año y medio de pandemia por COVID-19

    Buscando comprender el nuevo escenario educativo surgido a partir de la pandemia surgieron distintas investigaciones no académicas que difundieron abiertamente sus resultados. Sin embargo, dichos estudios no han sido sistematizadas para entender las tendencias principales que caracterizaron este período. Así, el objetivo de este artículo es examinar las investigaciones no académicas publicadas en Chile por organizaciones de la sociedad civil referidas a la salud mental de los docentes chilenos durante el primer año y medio de COVID-19. Usando una metodología cualitativa y un diseño analítico, se seleccionaron 14 estudios empíricos realizados entre marzo del 2020 y julio del 2021. Los resultados evidencian la alta vulnerabilidad de la docencia, especialmente de las mujeres y los más jóvenes, como efecto de la adaptación del proceso de enseñanza, las condiciones laborales y la pandemia misma, incluyendo el temor al contagio. En este marco, las conclusiones llaman a implementar acciones paliativas para mitigar las secuelas actuales, así como a planificar acciones preventivas, de detección precoz y tratamiento para el período postpandemia articulando acciones individuales y sociales que respondan efectivamente a las fuentes de riesgo.

    Seeking to understand the new educational scenario that emerged from the pandemic different non-academic investigations emerged that openly disseminated their results. However, these studies have not been systematized to understand the main trends that characterized this period. Thus, the objective of this article is to examine the non-academic research published in Chile by civil society organizations regarding the mental health of Chilean teachers during the first year and a half of COVID-19. Using a qualitative methodology and an analytical design, 14 empirical studies between March 2020 and July 2021 were selected. The results show the high vulnerability of teaching, especially of women and the youngest, as an effect of the adaptation of the process. of teaching, working conditions and the pandemic itself, including the fear of contagion. In this framework, the conclusions call for the implementation of palliative actions to mitigate the current sequelae, as well as the planning of preventive, early detection, and treatment actions for the post-pandemic period, articulating individual and social actions that respond effectively to the sources of risk.
