  • The overarching goal of this volume is to broaden the scope of foreign language emotion research with cutting-edge empirical studies carried out in a variety of countries, targeting different populations and language contexts, drawing on different methodological paradigms, and covering a range of emotions including positive (happiness), negative (sadness, anger), and social emotions (shame and guilt). We are convinced that this volume will stimulate debate and inspire established researches to adopt innovative methods or inlcude new variables in their research designs.
