The aim of these studies was to evaluate the effect of flavor inclusion in the diet of the sow, litter and post-weaning piglets. A total of 80 and 33 sows were assigned to experimental diets in the first and second trial respectively. At weaning 480 and 240 piglets were selected for the first trial and second trials respectively. In trial 1, 4 experimental treatments were tested following a 2 x 2 factorial arrangement according to pre- and post weaning Fluidarom 1003® (FL) exposure (gestation lactation and creep-feed and/or after weaning). In trial 2, the experimental treatments tested were obtained by following FL inclusion in the creep-feed or after weaning in piglets coming from sows exposed to FL during gestation and lactation. In the first trial it is concluded that the inclusion of FL in the sow diets for late gestation and lactation improve weight gain and feed intake of weanling piglets throughout the pre-starter and starter phase. The inclusion of FL in weanling diets (pre-starter and starter) improves feed intake and weight gain. In the second trial the preference test after weaning showed that piglets pre-exposed to FL via maternal diet but not in the creep-feed preferred FL over a lacto-vanilla, those results suggest it low impact of flavor inclusion in the creep–feed on further performance so more studies are required to confirm this results
