  • Resumen
    • Tutoring is one of the central elements of university education with both instructive and formative functions, is defined as a teaching accompaniment that is generally provided in a personalized way to the student to help him understand the problems he faces in the university environment, in his individual conditions and in the fulfillment of his school objectives. The evaluation of this practice has been minimal in most of the Mexican Higher Education Institutions. The objective of the research was to quantitatively assess teaching performance during academic tutorials. Method. A descriptive survey design was used. A total of 1219 psychologystudents from a Mexican public university enrolled in the first, third, fifth or seventh semester participated. The printed version of the Academic Tutoring subscale of the Student Teaching Internship Opinion Questionnaire(COPDE) was applied individually. It consists of 11 reagents grouped into three factors: teaching methodology; adjustment and evaluation of the program and attitude and professional ethics. Results. First-semester students have a more favorable opinion than third-semester students, who are in the seventh semester have a better opinion than those in the third and fifth. Discussion. The data coincide with other investigations in which students highlight the attitudinal attributes of teachers.
