This paper compares the results of two diets in beef young bulls, conventional diet of straw plus concentrate vs. a total mixed ration composed by corn silage and ensiled tomato pulp (25%) and concentrates. Technical results were better for the conventional diet in terms of growth rate and total dry matter intake, but the conversion rate was similar for both diets. In economic terms, the total mixed ration saved 18-20 € per fattened animal compared to the conventional diet
