The Average Daily Gain (ADG) until weaning is a complex feature that reflects the growth potential of the calf and the quality of their feeding. For farms in studied ADG observed is 0.786±0.113 kg. We found significant differences (P<0.001) for the ADG between all the farms studied, having revealed that farm C has a superior ADG (961 g/day) compared to other farms, and farm D provided the inferior value (663 g/day). In farm C the ADG until 60 days old reached the highest value (0.848 kg) of all farms studied in this age phase. Normally from 60 day old calves consume higher amounts of concentrate, bringing the most interesting ADG at this stage of its growth, as found on most farms under study.
