    Este trabajo concluye en la necesidad de incluir formación en segundas len guas y plurilingüismo en la instrucción inicial y continua de los maestros españoles. La sociedad española es diversa, multicultural y multilingüe y el alumnado de las escuelas responde a esas mismas características. El maestro no especialista afronta la situación sin haber recibido formación en multiculturalidad o plurilingüismo, puesto que la Didáctica de la Lengua y Literatura Españolas y sus programas se concibieron para alumnos nati vos. El objetivo de esta investigación es balancear la formación en didáctica de L2/ LE y plurilingüismo que reciben los maestros, partiendo de la hipótesis de que es insuficiente La metodología es cuantitativa mediante una encuesta en formato de escala Likert, con un total de ocho preguntas. Para cada una se numera, entre 1 y 4 respectivamente, en una gradación desde “Muy en desacuerdo”, “En desacuerdo”, “De acuerdo” a “Muy de acuerdo”. En el estudio participaron 262 maestros de centros escolares, sin distinción de su titularidad, de todo el territorio español.     This paper concludes that there is a need to include second language and multilingualism training in the initial and in-service training of Spanish teachers. The Spanish society is diverse, multicultural and multilingual and the students in schools respond to these same characteristics. The non-specialist teacher faces the situation without having received training in multiculturalism or plurilingualism, since the Didactics of Spanish Language and Literature and its programmes were conceived for native students. The aim of this research is to assess the training in L2/ LE didactics and plurilingualism that teachers receive, based on the hypothesis that it is insufficient. The methodology is quantitative, using a Likert-scale survey with a total of eight questions. Each question is numbered, between 1 and 4 respectively, on a scale of from "Strongly disagree", "Disagree", "Agree" to "Strongly agree". Agree" to "Strongly agree".     The results have met the objectives and the initial hypothesis has been confirmed. Cet article conclut qu'il est nécessaire d'inclure la formation aux langues secondes et au multilinguisme dans la formation initiale et continue des enseignants d'espagnol. La société espagnole est diverse, multiculturelle et multilingue et les élèves des écoles répondent à ces mêmes caractéristiques. L'enseignant non spécialisé fait face à cette situation sans avoir reçu de formation en matière de multiculturalisme ou de plurilinguisme, puisque la Didactique de la langue et de la littérature espagnoles et ses programmes ont été conçus pour les élèves natifs. L'objectif de cette recherche est d'évaluer la formation en didactique de la L2/LE et en plurilinguisme que reçoivent les enseignants, en partant de l'hypothèse qu'elle est insuffisante. La méthodologie est quantitative, utilisant une enquête à échelle de Likert avec un total de huit questions. Chaque question est numérotée, entre 1 et 4 respectivement, sur une échelle de 1 à 4 pour chaque question, allant de "Pas du tout d'accord", "Pas d'accord", "D'accord" à "Tout à fait d'accord". L'étude a porté sur 262 enseignants d'écoles, quel que soit leur propriétaire, dans toute l'Espagne. Les résultats ont atteint les objectifs et l'hypothèse initiale a été confirmée.
