    Heuristic play in early childhood education presents itself as an approach to work in day care that allows children to explore and discover a wide variety of objects. The exploration of objects sharpens the interest of the baby and very young child, stimulates their senses and their developing understanding. According to these initial considerations, this work aims to reflect on the contributions of heuristic play with children from 1 and 2 year olds at Centro de Educação Infantil Municipal (CEIM) Manoel Farias de Souza, in Linhares/ES during the pandemic period. of Covid-19. The methodology used was through a bibliographic review of the subject in question and the description of the process experienced with the experience of heuristic play with babies and very young children in the context of the Covid-19 pandemic. The implementation of the heuristic playing sessions allowed experiences that enriched the appropriation of new knowledge by the children through the investigation and exploration of objects. The experience with heuristic play also made it possible to rethink the educational practice with babies and very young children.

    O brincar heurístico na educação infantil se apresenta como uma abordagem de trabalho na creche que possibilita aos pequenos explorar e descobrir uma grande diversidade de objetos. A exploração dos objetos aguça o interesse do bebê e da criança bem pequena[1], estimula seus sentidos e sua compreensão em desenvolvimento. De acordo com essas considerações iniciais, esse trabalho tem, como objetivo, refletir sobre as contribuições do brincar heurístico com crianças das turmas de 1 e 2 anos do Centro de Educação Infantil Municipal (CEIM) Manoel Farias de Souza, em Linhares/ES, no período de pandemia da Covid-19. A metodologia utilizada consistiu em uma revisão bibliográfica do assunto em questão e a descrição do processo vivenciado com a experiência do brincar heurístico com bebês e crianças bem pequenas no contexto de pandemia da Covid-19. A implementação das sessões do brincar heurístico possibilitou vivências que enriqueceram a apropriação de novos conhecimentos pelas crianças por meio da investigação e exploração dos objetos. A experiência com o brincar heurístico possibilitou, ainda, um repensar sobre a prática educativa com bebês e crianças bem pequenas.
