  • Resumen
    • New technologies that have been deployed to create vaccines for SARS-CoV-2 are predicated on using cellular machinery that implements the central dogma of molecular biology, genetic information flow. While the overall system for this process encompasses emergent ideas beyond the molecular basis of genetics, important components of the system are chemical in nature. With the importance of fostering widespread acceptance of vaccines for public health becoming more apparent, the potential need for enhanced teaching and learning around the chemistry of the central dogma that extends beyond the traditional “home” of this concept in biochemistry and molecular biology classrooms is worthy of consideration.
