La formación de los licenciados en biotecnología: un análisis de la percepción de las competencias profesionales y cuestiones sociocientíficas desde la mirada de los graduados

    En este trabajo se estudia la percepción sobre las competencias profesionales (CP) y las cuestiones sociocientíficas (CSC) de los graduados de la carrera de Licenciatura en Biotecnología, período 2010-2016 (n=182), de la Facultad de Bioquímica y Ciencias Biológicas de la Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa FeArgentina. La información se recoge a través de un cuestionario ad hoc. Se analiza cuantitativamente el nivel de importancia (NI) reconocido para la práctica profesional y el nivel desarrollado (ND) durante la formación universitaria, tanto sobre CP como CSC. Los datos obtenidos se procesan mediante el programa estadístico informático SPSS. Para indagar si existen diferencias y la relación entre las variables (NI/ND de CP y CSC), se utilizan la prueba t de Student y una matriz ad hoc, respectivamente. Se observan diferencias significativas tanto al aplicar la prueba t de Student como al graficar la matriz NI-ND. La relación entre los niveles de importancia y de desarrollo varía según la competencia analizada. Acerca de las CP, se destaca que el 54% se percibe en alto NI y bajo ND. Con respecto a las CSC, el 100% se aprecia tanto en bajo NI como en bajo ND.

    In this paper we study the perception of professional competencies (PC) and socio-scientific issues (SSI) of graduates of a Biotechnology Degree, from 2010-2016 (n = 182), of the Faculty of Biochemistry and Biological Sciences of the Universidad Nacional del Litoral, Santa Fe-Argentina. The information is collected through an ad hoc questionnaire. The level of importance (LI) recognized for professional practice and the level developed (LD) during university education, both on PC and SSI, are analyzed quantitatively. The data obtained is processed using the SPSS computer statistical program. To investigate whether there are differences and the relationship between the variables (LI / LD of PC and SSI), the Student's t-test and an ad hoc matrix are used, respectively. Significant differences are observed both when applying the Student's t-test and when plotting the LI-LD matrix. The relationship between levels of importance and development varies according to the competence analyzed. Regarding the PC, it is noted that 54% is perceived in high LI and low LD. With respect to SSI, 100% can be seen in both low LI and low LD.
