    El objetivo de esta investigación es analizar las actitudes de estudiantes universitarios hacia la lectura en español.  Los participantes fueron 50 estudiantes cuyas edades oscilaban entre 21 y 34 años.  Al momento de la investigación estaban cursando primer nivel de la carrera de Idiomas en una universidad ecuatoriana.  La información fue recogida por medio de entrevistas y un cuestionario para luego aplicar análisis de contenido.  Los resultados revelaron actitudes desfavorables hacia la lectura en español.

    The objective of this research is to analyze the attitudes of university students towards reading in Spanish.  Participants were 50 students whose ages ranged from 21 to 34 years. At the time of the research, they were studying first level in the career of Languages in an Ecuadorian university. The information was collected through interviews and a questionnaire to then apply content analysis. The results revealed unfavorable attitudes towards reading in Spanish.
