  • Threaded discussions are a primary means of interaction in on-line learning courses. To increase their usability a number of visualizations have been built by various groups. Each one has been built in a stand-alone environment. The proposed unified framework for discussion visualization provides a means to allow users to choose which interactive visualization is most suitable for their purpose. In this way, it is hoped to increase the effectiveness of discussions and the use of the knowledge recorded for subsequent courses.
