  • Resumen
    • In this paper, we use adaptable instructional video. The instructional video used in our case is the result of video screen capture. The content of the video is a specific use of a spreadsheet software package in order to complete a given task. This video consists of sevaral parts (video files), and some of them are given in different versions. Each alternative version is using a different approach for the same part of the given task. All the videos are accessible to the students (subjects) through a single html file hosted on a web site, available through an Intranet. Via this web site each student chooses his/her preferable "knowledge path" (that is: the choice of video files he/she makes in order to view the whole given task). For example, a student who prefers to enter the proper spreadsheet-functions using the keyboard (not the menu options) will choose the appropiate video files. In the experimental course we set, the total instructional video consists of five (5) parts. There are three (3) versions for the second part, three (3) versions for the third part, and four (4) versions for the fourth part, giving altogether 3*3*4=36 different choices (knowledge paths) that a student can choose from.
