    El estudio de la figura del traductor religioso es un elemento clave para el conocimiento de la historia de la traducción en España. El presente trabajo se enmarca en el proyecto de Investigación I+D Catalogación y estudio de las traducciones de los dominicos españoles e iberoamericanos y, en este contexto, nos acercamos a la figura del traductor dominico desde una doble perspectiva. Por un lado, para conocer su actividad traductora y, en muchos casos, sacarla a la luz, y, por otro, para profundizar en el perfil de estos religiosos. En líneas generales, a lo largo de esta investigación hemos observado que el estudio y la predicación, los dos pilares de la Orden Dominica, marcan la labor del traductor religioso en esta Orden.

    The study of the figure of the religious translator is a key element for the knowledge of the history of translation in Spain. The present work is part of the research project R & D Cataloging and study of translations of Spanish and Ibero-American Dominicans and, in this context, we approach the figure of the Dominican translator from a double perspective. On the one hand, to become their translation activity and, in many cases, to bring it to light, and, on the other, to delve into the profile of these religious. In general, throughout this investigation we have observed that both the study and the preaching, the two main pillars of the Dominican Order, mark the work of the religious translator in this Order.
