    Co obxectivo de labrarse unha imaxe e atraer turismo, cidades, rexións, comunidades autónomas e ata países no seu conxunto protagonizan accións de comunicación nas que tratan de amosar as súas potencialidades como destino de descanso e diversión. Afastándose da clara finalidade persuasiva e comercial da publicidade, neste artigo proponse o cine como vehículo idóneo para amosar as posibilidades e características dun territorio a través dunha linguaxe máis relaxada e visual, ademais de tinguirse do valor engadido de acoller unha historia fílmica cos seus respectivos personaxes. Esta investigación céntrase no caso concreto da rodaxe da película Los Girasoles Ciegos na cidade galega de Ourense e como a proxección contribúe a crear unha imaxe bastante real (sen case alteracións) da zona histórica, ofrecendo ao espectador unha lectura fidedigna do que se pode atopar nunha das urbes do interior de Galicia con grandes potencialidades turísticas, sobre todo no eido cultural e termal

    With the goal of building an image and attract tourism, cities, regions, areas and even countries try to put on march communication actions to show their potential as a destination for rest and fun. Far away from the advertisement techniques and their persuasive and commercial aims, this article proposes the movies as the perfect way to show the possibilities and the features of a territory using the typical cinema tools as the audiovisual language and its majesty, as well as the added value of the film history and its main characters.

    This research focuses on the particular case of the shooting of Los Girasoles Ciegos in the Galician city of Ourense to check how the projection helped to create a real image of the old town, offering the spectator a reliable reading of what he can find in this city with an enormous tourist potential, especially in the cultural and thermal field
