    La formación docente requiere de un proceso de enseñanza en el que se propicie el desarrollo de la independencia cognoscitiva y el pensamiento creador, lo cual demanda un adecuado tratamiento a las potencialidades que brindan los contenidos de las materias impartidas, las capacidades de los estudiantes y la maestría de los profesores encargados de su preparación. Es por ello que en este artículo se hace un acercamiento a la manera en que debe dirigirse el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje de la disciplina Historia de la Cultura de los Países de Habla Inglesa a fin de comprender la necesidad de transformarlo para formar un docente creativo.

    The teachers’ training requires a learning process which fosters the development of cognitive independence and creative thinking, which requires an adequate treatment to the potentialities offered by the content of the subjects taught, the skills of students and the mastery of the teachers responsible for their preparation. That is why in this article an approach is made to the way we should guide the teaching and learning of the discipline Cultural History of the English-Speaking Countries, in order to understand the need to transform it so that a creative teacher could be trained.
