Resumen de Selección de recursos educativos para la enseñanza y aprendizaje del Inglés

  Durante los últimos años el Ministerio de Educación de Chile ha emigrado desde una estrategia centralizada en la toma de decisiones, a una política que permite que las propias comunidades educativas realicen la selección de recursos educativos en base a sus necesidades. Este articulo tiene como objetivo entregar un conjunto de antecedentes teóricos que sirven de apoyo a la toma de decisiones, para la adquisición de recursos TIC orientados a la enseñanza y el aprendizaje del idioma ingles. El documento se inicia con una revisión histórica de la relación entre tecnología e ingles y de las potencialidades que este tipo de tecnología posee. Posteriormente, se identifica un conjunto de recursos TIC y se analiza, a través de evidencia empírica, los aportes que este tipo de herramientas pueden tener en el aprendizaje de dicho idioma. El trabajo entrega diversas conclusiones y recomendaciones que refuerzan el aporte de las TIC a la enseñanza y aprendizaje de esta lengua.

  During the last years, the Chile Ministry ofEducation has emigrated from a centralized strategy of making decisions to a policy which permits the educational communities themselves to select educational resources based on their needs. This article's objective is to present a set of theoretical records that serve as a support for decision making, and for the acquisition ofICTresources oriented toward teaching and learning the English language. The document begins with a historical review of the relationship between technology and English and the potentials that these types of technologies possess. Furthermore, a grouping of ICT resources is identified and the contributions that this type of too! can have on the learning of such a language is analyzed using empirical evidence. The work presents diverse conclusions and recommendations which reinforce the contribution of the ICT in teaching and learning this language.
