Stereotype of beauty in the occidental societies and in the industries of fashion values the lean women and of fin silhouette. In a similar way, the apparel industries has answered to these requests of market, not if evidencing it offers varied and generalized for the women with weight excess. It's of the common sense that the obese women have difficulty in finding clothes to its measures and to follow the trends of the fashion. In this direction, we look for to analyse the involvement of the obese women with the fashion, appealing to the scale of Tiger & al (1976). The study it elapsed between August and October of 2005, in the metropolitans areas of Porto and Lisbon. The results show that the obese women are involved and have interest for the fashion, looking for to inquire themselves on the fashion trends, such as the majority of the women.
