Quito, Ecuador
Learning history in Ecuador is very important for the progress of the whole society, it allows us to know the genesis of the human being and at the same time, strengthen the identity and the epistemological and philosophical horizons built from the peoples and nationalities of our country. The narratives about history have been elaborated from the western conceptions and perceptions, and from the masculine subject, ignoring the knowledge built from the reality of colonized countries. The study of history is important in the academic life of students because it helps to connect and experience what they learn in their daily lives, but it is also a subject in which many students fail to acquire knowledge and do not relate to interculturality. This problem is due to the fact that teachers do not implement new teaching methods. For this reason, the following study is presented with the aim of generating pedagogical recommendations on the history of intercultural learning through a thinking-based learning approach.
