  • Resumen
    • Through two teaching innovation projects (GASTROVEG and CO-GASTROVEG), the aim is to adapt the content and teaching methodology of the first year Plant Biology course of the Gastronomic Sciences degree at the University of Valencia to the characteristics of its students and the degree. In addition, it also seeks to bring them closer to the knowledge of the SDG and the challenges they pose. To this end, different actions have been carried out: updating of the syllabus and practice sessions, development of activities based on active learning methodologies, and design of strategies for the incorporation of the SDG into teaching. Thanks to these changes, after two years of the project, the organisation of the syllabus has been improved by developing activities related to the contents of the subject and linked to the SDG, using active methodologies such as problem-based learning, flipped classroom or gamification. At the end of each course, to confirm the suitability of the proposed teaching methodology, student surveys were carried out. A high level of acceptance of the methodologies applied was observed, with an improvement in student performance. In relation to the SDG, the work carried out has greatly improved the understanding of these, and students have become aware of the importance of their achievement.
