The use of audiovisual technologies, such as the incorporation of audiovisual training pills, with the use of different digital applications, can favor learning in Higher Education. In this research we present a didactic experience in the subject of Functional Adaptations to the Environment, of the Degree in Biology of the University of Córdoba, was carried out with 54 students, during the 2022-2023 academic year. The main objective of the activity is the consolidation of the acquired knowledge and the maintenance of the interest and motivation of the students. The methodology used consisted in the elaboration of training pills with a duration of five minutes, choosing an animal that represents an adaptive aspect among those exposed in class on the thematic blocks of the subject. The format of the presentation consisted of an animated presentation, or documentary type. The actions include the elaboration of a script, production and post-production of the pills by the students, while the teachers elaborate an evaluation rubric and a satisfaction questionnaire. The results obtained show that the elaboration of pills constituted a complementary element for the deepening of the contents and the construction of the students’ own learning. In addition, it was shown that it is an effective element of integration in the didactic development of the subject for the study of the different thematic blocks.
