  • The dissertation explores the social representations of Community Multimedia Centres (CMCs) in Mozambique, focusing on how different stakeholders perceive their roles and impacts in the community. It employs mixed methods, including participatory photo-elicitation, to examine these representations and their implications for information and communication technology for development (ICT4D). The study highlights the significance of contextual understanding and participatory approaches in enhancing the effectiveness of CMCs in fostering community engagement and addressing local needs.
