    Cuando una metodología funciona, adoptarla y desarrollarla se convierte en una obligación moral para cualquier docente. Este principio es el punto de partida de esta investigación sobre uno de los pilares del piano ruso del siglo XX: Leonid Nikolaevich Sintsev. La búsqueda de un sonido de inspiración vocal, consciente y de gran calidad orientan su labor pedagógica. Un análisis detallado del pianismo ruso, así como un breve recorrido por las metodologías de sus antecesores permiten contextualizar su planteamiento pedagógico y comprender mejor su metodología.

    La figura de este gran pedagogo resulta apasionante y cautivadora debido a su enfoque holístico para entender y abordar el proceso de enseñanza y de crecimiento tanto musical como personal de su alumnado. Su objetivo es formar, ante todo, a buenas personas. Y es que, en el arte, más que en ninguna otra disciplina, es indispensable trabajar la riqueza del espíritu y la bondad del alma.

    When a methodology works, it is a moral obligation for any teacher to take it into consideration. This fundamental question is the starting point of this research on one of the most relevant aspects of piano teaching, and on one of the most prominent representatives of 20th century pedagogy: Leonid Nikolaevich Sintsev (1944-2008). The search for a sound of vocal inspiration, consciously constructed and of high quality, guides his pedagogical work at all times. A brief tour of the methodologies of the most recognized pedagogues of the 19th and 20th centuries, especially in the Russian context, allows us to understand his methodology in greater depth. The figure of this great pedagogue is exciting and captivating due to his holistic approach to understanding and addressing the teaching-learning and growth process –both musical and experiential– of a student body to whom L. N. Sintsev paid attention in all aspects of education. life. However, his objective was not only to train pianists but, above all, good people. And in art, more than in any other discipline, it is essential to work on the richness of the spirit and the goodness of the soul.
