This book is a selection of key original contributions aiming to provide insights and methodological clues (mainly Psychology & Social Epidemiology but also from many other disciplines) for successful aging research: 1) Updating evidence-based knowledge on key aspects of quality aging such as the role of social participation and social networks; cognitive functioning; social and cultural capital, among others. 2) Revealing the benefits of collaboration between the two Spanish universities currently with best position at ARWU’s Shanghai ranking (University of Barcelona & University of Valencia) that extends to international outstanding teams as Kyoto University, Japan or Yale University, USA. 3) Highlighting the importance of using updated multivariate methods for complexities as required by current research. 4) Opening new scenarios of social transformation from less explored areas such as spirituality or cultural capital.
