The methodology consists of an application of the topological analysis of the urban space in San José de Cúcuta, in the aspects associated with the typology and neighborhood of the space established by a set of three landmarks, the towers of the Cathedral of San José de Cúcuta, the tower from the church of Our Lady of the Carmelites and the tower of the church of Maria Auxiliadora. In this research, the topological concept of neighborhood, where one surface is neighboring another with connections or connectivities linked by signs and symbols, allow continuity to typological interpretations, related by their historical evolution, stylistic representation and variables related to the height of the buildings. Consequently, the notion of place and the concept of neighborhood are consolidated. The data obtained without considering the magnitudes, have allowed a cross-sectional analysis of these towers in order to analyze their topology, their relationships and assonances so that certain architectural and urban qualities were identified.
