  • One year ago, in the February 2024 issue of The Physics Teacher, we looked at what physics bachelor’s degree recipients are doing the year after earning their degree. About half enroll in a graduate program and about half take a job. Those who take a job are employed in a variety of employment sectors. As shown below, our most recent data shows 60% taking a job in the private sector.
