    The Pila Verde Project is a socio-environmental project, which aims to make the population aware of solutions for composting organic waste, encourage the separation of organic waste and reduce costs with the final disposal of waste, favoring sustainability. The present work aims to present this project in detail, in addition to evaluating the results it presented until March 2024. Since its beginning, in June 2020, there has been an increase not only in the number of collection points, which currently number 19, but also also the number of waste collected and the green pile distributed, also resulting in higher values in the savings provided, indicating the viability of the project.

    O Projeto Pila Verde é um projeto de cunho socioambiental, o qual visa conscientizar a população a respeito de soluções para a compostagem de resíduos orgânicos, incentivar a separação destes orgânicos e reduzir custos com a destinação final dos resíduos, favorecendo a sustentabilidade. O presente trabalho visa apresentar detalhadamente este projeto, além de avaliar os resultados que este apresentou até março de 2024. Verificou-se desde seu início, em junho de 2020, aumento não só o número de pontosde coleta, que atualmente são 19, como também do número de resíduos recolhidos e pila verde distribuídos, resultando também em valores mais altos na economia proporcionada, indicando a viabilidade do projeto.
