    El Cuerpo académico de Ingeniería y Sistemas (InySis) busca ampliar las capacidades de investigación y la productividad científica de los estudiantes universitarios que cursan el segundo y tercer semestre de Ingeniería Informática e Ingeniería en Computación respectivamente aplicando la metodología del aprendizaje activo a través del coloquio Iniciándose en la Investigación: Estudiantes Universitarios Proactivos (CIIEUPA). Ante este contexto surge el objetivo conocer las competencias adquiridas por los estudiantes participando en el coloquio, que a su vez se aplica como metodología de aprendizaje activo y forma parte de los criterios de evaluación de las unidades de aprendizaje. El estudio se desarrolló con un carácter cualitativo y descriptivo, a través de observaciones, y entrevistas. Los resultados empíricos han demostrado que se tuvo un impacto significativo en el rendimiento académico de los estudiantes y en la experiencia de aprendizaje percibida. El CIIEUPA fue esencialmente muy positivo: los estudiantes se sintieron involucrados en la construcción de caminos de aprendizaje y enseñanza, a los que ayudaron con su conocimiento compartido.     The Academic Body of Engineering and Systems (InySis) seeks to expand the research capabilities and scientific productivity of university students who are studying the second and third semester of Computer Engineering and Computer Engineering respectively by applying the active learning methodology through the Getting Started colloquium in Research: Proactive University Students (CIIEUPA). Given this context, the objective of this work arises, which is to know the skills acquired by the students participating in the colloquium, which in turn is applied as an active learning methodology and is part of the evaluation criteria of the learning units. Method: The study was developed with a qualitative and descriptive nature, through observations and interviews. Results: The empirical results have shown that a significant impact was had on the academic performance of the students and on the perceived learning experience, in conclusion The CIIEUPA was essentially very positive: the students felt involved in the construction of learning and teaching paths, to those who helped with their shared knowledge. Teamwork, as well as the in-person public presentation of the final work, have helped reinforce their selfesteem, their sense of belonging to a learning community, and their positive disposition towards the discipline
