  In this article we analyze Albert Einstein's text “Induction and Deduction in Physics”, seeking to understand what conception of scientific method the physicist philosopher identifies (historically) and defends (propaedeutically) for Theoretical Physics. As well as concluding that Einstein was a defender of the logical deductive method of constructing systems of axioms, we propose that from this short text from 1919 we can extract five points that will be central to the development of Einstein's philosophy of physics in his maturity.

  Nesse artigo analisamos o texto “Indução e dedução na física”, de Albert Einstein, buscando compreender que concepção de método científico o físico filósofo identifica (historicamente) e defende (propedêuticamente) para a Física Teórica. Além de concluirmos que Einstein foi um defensor do método lógico dedutivo de construção de sistemas de axiomas, propomos que desse pequeno texto de 1919 podemos extrair cinco pontos que serão centrais no desenvolvimento da filosofia da física da maturidade de Einstein.
