The study aims to identify and analyse the predominant learning styles among 122 students in Vocational Education using the Honey-Alonso questionnaire. The evaluation encompasses the theoretical, reflective, active, and pragmatic styles to gain insights into students› learning preferences and tailor pedagogical strategies accordingly. Employing a mixed methodology that integrates quantitative and qualitative approaches, the research ensures a comprehensive understanding of the students› learning profiles. By determining the prevalence of each learning style and examining its correlation with academic performance, the study contributes to enriching the educational landscape and provides practical recommendations for enhancing teaching practices in Vocational Education.
The research underscores the significance of developing personalised, and effective teaching methods based on a thorough analysis of learning styles. Through data triangulation, the study enhances the validity and reliability of its findings. Furthermore, the consideration of potential future qualitative analysis, such as semi-structured interviews or focus groups, presents opportunities for a deeper exploration of students› experiences and perceptions. Overall, this study not only sheds light on the diverse learning preferences within Vocational Education but also offers valuable insights for educators and policymakers to optimise the quality of teaching and learning experiences in this educational context.
